Pricing:
Almost all pricing is done on a lump sum basis. This is to ensure that every client has a clear understanding of the total cost of the project. We will provide a bid price before any work begins based on the scope of work that you wish to have us perform. This fee will cover the scope of work that you require. Any changes that are made after work begins will be negotiated at the time of the change if required. We feel this policy ensures satisfaction at the end of the project since our firm and our clients both fully understand the cost of the work being performed.
For most jobs we will include a permit set of plans, and stamped engineering calculations as required by the jurisdiction. Due to the many differing requirements of jurisdictions, our firm will provide one full size set of plans and three sets of engineering calculations. If an additional sets of plans are required, there will be an additional charge based on the cost of printing.
An initial meeting to provide a scope of work and a fee proposal from our firm are of course at no charge to the client.
A retainer is required to begin work. This retainer in most cases will be 10% of the total cost of the contract.
In most cases, the total cost of the contract must be paid at the time of delivery of the final plans and engineering.
A contract will be prepared at the beginning of the project to layout all aspects of what is expected of our firm, including completion dates, as well as what is expected of the client. This is to ensure that there is no miscommunication between our firm and the client.
